Indoor wins for most buyers: better insulation, year-round consistency, longer electronics life, stable low EMF and easier red-light layouts. Outdoor wins when indoor space is unavailable and you want open-sky placement — but only with a purpose-built weather-sealed cabin.[1]

Do not put an indoor-only cabin outside with a “cover” — electronics and EMF performance degrade. If outdoor, budget +$2k–$5k for weather engineering.[2]
